That album is pretty damn great. I hate he went all in on the electronic beat sound. I thought it worked well on a his album LP5. Birds on the ceiling was not very good tho. Kind of a mess.
His work with electronic beats on LP5 and to a lesser degree on big bad love was reminiscent of David Gray to me.

Can't say I am a Charlie fan, but New Year's day comes up on my play list a lot. I should probably listen to more since I only know that one and the Irish fighter song.
