I would say Double Fantasy but some psycho-bitch had to sing on like six of the songs.
Eat a Peach includes some of Duane's best work, but it's posthumous relating only to him.
Band on the Run is a great album that was of course released posthumously.

Not to mention his single "Time in a Bottle"
This album had some of the great songs like:
I've got a name
New Yorks not my home
You don't mess around with Jim
One less set of footprints
I'll have to say I love you in a song
Died at the age of 30, this album came out the next day

Kurt died in Apr of 1994. Album came out November of that same year.

Wow, ok, just didnt seem like it took that long for them to get the album out. I recorded it on the tv with the vcr the night it aired so I was listening to it daily immediately. Although now that you mention it, seems like it did take a while for it to hit stores.

Almost. Warren Zevon died about 2 weeks after "The Wind" was released.
