This is a serious album. People who discount it, don´t really get REM. In my not so humble opinion.

I'll take Monster every day of the week and twice on Sunday over Automatic for the People.

That line just doesn't work for me with Monster. I mean, not at all. Not saying it's bad because I do not feel that way. I know one can get REM, they are my favorite band, and still discount Monster, in relation to their other work.

I'd throw in Madman Across the Water to that list as well.

That’s really tough. Siamese Dream is one I’ll add to the mix as well. Although I enjoy it DSOTM isn’t my favorite or anywhere close to it.

In. I think Siamese Dream is up there with any album ever recorded. It’s perfect from start to finish.

It starts strong - I mean, Today and Disarm are 2 of my 3 favorite Pumpkins songs. But, SD runs out of gas at the end, IMHO. I get what Billy was trying to do/say with it and a lot of it was well done, but I don't listen to the last 15 minutes of it ever.

Really? I think Luna and Sweet Sweet are both absolute gems.

The two most overrated songs on the album. Cherub Rock, Mayonnaise, and Geek USA are way better.

Really? Today is probably the cringiest song on the album. Give me the run of Geek USA to Luna on over all except maybe Cherub and Rocket.
