The Shins first 3 albums

Agree.

The first time I heard this band, I liked them right off. Bought another album and liked it a lot. Same for the third.

Blue Album
Pinkerton
Green Album

Although the Green Album is not nearly as good as the first two, it still has a few Weezer classics on it and got good reviews . That's a pretty strong 3-album stretch considering how good the first two are considered.

I wasn't even born then but I love these three albums.

If we're basing this on commercial success and cultural impact, it's gotta be this. No Fences - Ropin the Wind - The Chase. That's like 40 million sold between them over a ~4 year period. And then another 8 million the next year with In Pieces. That's going to be hard to ever top.

I could also go with the 3 Radiohead albums already nominated, or College Dropout - Late Reg - Graduation.

For me personally, it's Spoon. Kill the Moonlight - Gimme Fiction - GaGaGa.
