There is a correct answer. I want to see how smart the MB is.

Alligator
Boxer
High Violet

Animal Collective:
Feels
Strawberry Jam
Merriwhether Post Pavilion

The White Stripes had a nice run of five albums:

De Stijl 2000

White Blood Cells 2001

Elephant 2003

Get Behind Me Satan 2005

Icky Thump 2007

Doesn't really fit the specific qualifications, but Tom Petty released the following:

Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 1988 - with The Traveling Wilburys

Full Moon Fever 1989 - solo release although the Heartbreakers were involved

Into The Great Wide Open 1991 - as Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

Greatest Hits 1993 - as Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

Wildflowers 1994 - solo release although the Heartbreakers were involved

I like the Built to Spill list and the Modest Mouse list. I would put Pavement ahead of both though......and raise them 2

Slanted and Enchanted (1992)
Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain (1994)
Wowee Zowee (1995)
Brighten the Corners (1997)
Terror Twilight (1999)

a few not mentioned yet

Outkast:

ATLiens
Aquemini
Stankonia

Arcade Fire:

Funeral
Neon Bible
The Suburbs

LCD Soundsystem:

self-title
Sound of Silver
This is Happening

and Radiohead was already mentioned but I'll throw a wrench in the previous post and go OK Computer > Kid A > Amnesiac instead of starting with The Bends

the Animal Collective trio mentioned is up there too
