Has to be Mike Love and The Beach Boys right? I’m not sure if Mike Love has ever missed a year of touring. They are on tour again at 82 years old and have been touring non-stop for the past 60 plus years. Now that I think about it, there is probably no one even close to the amount of shows that Mike Love has played.

Not sure historically, but in the modern era, Dave Mathews has to be up there... Seems like that dude is coming through town every single year, although I've never seen him.

many thousands of shows
Bob Dylan 3000+
Grateful Dead/Ratdog/Furthur/Dead &Bro 4000+
those are your top 2
It is likely that Bob Weir has spent more nights on stage than any human ever

Found an article that said The Beach Boys have played 5,450 shows. Not sure of the accuracy but it has to be pretty close.

if that’s the case then yes they are tops/top-ish. Although calling them “the beach boys” at this point is kind of a stretch

I think Bob has performed live on stage in over 5,000 shows including countless music festivals, sit-in's, and benefits with other artists (Rex Foundation, SEVA, Sweetwater, Bonnaroo, Telluride, Lock'n, MerleFest, Wanee, etc...). Non-stop for 60 years.
Quick google search noted the following concerts played: Grateful Dead 2350, Kingfish 138, Bob Weir (solo) 46, Bobby and the Midnites 147, Weir/Wasserman 140, RatDog 931, The Other Ones 48, The Dead 99, Further 261, Fare Thee Well 5, Dead & Co. 231, Wolf Bros. 135. Plus the other hundreds of shows he played with Chris Robinson, Jackie Greene, Bob Dylan, Moe, Mark Knopfler, Phil Lesh, Sammy Hagar, Steve Kimock, David Grisham, Allman Bros. band, Jerry Garcia Band, Merle Saunders, Joe Russo, Simply Stupid, etc....
The best thing about the GD shows, every one (2350) was recorded live. Most can be listened to on the GD archives. Sadly, some of the original master tape recordings were lost or misplaced over the years.

You can say that for almost any oldies act at this point. Mike Love has been the one constant for all of those shows.

Cheap Trick is at well over 5,000 ... aggressively touring since the mid-1970s.

that’s a good one and they should be celebrated for that. Constant lineup too for the most part
