I can still hear the bolt locking on that side door around 4am

I know Greg well, he took care of us way too kindly for years at old Bruno's (pre-Brunanigans as we call it but we went there too)...bumped into him less since he got Hurricane's and I got older. Great dude. And hadn't seen Josh in a while...I run into Mark every once in a while.

I was always thankful to close down the old bar on that last night. Then per tradition we went to Snake's (and pre-Katrina we would often make it to the Basin in Lakeview for sunrise)

My liver hurts from those days, but great times

Now spinning...

Lincoln Durham "Revelations of a Mind Unraveling", 2016 on pink vinyl.

I highly recommend checking this dude out, although this, his new third album, may not be the place to start. Begin with his debut, which I posted earlier in this thread, and go from there. Great performer, can't wait to see him again this summer.

There is another active member of this thread that very recently ordered an Odyssey amp new from Klaus. I believe he is still awaiting its arrival. Maybe he can chime in once it arrives.

Spoke to Klaus a couple days ago and he said he should have a tracking number for me by early next week, so it'll be soon. What a cool guy, and funny as all hell. Extremely knowledgable and helpful as well. He will go through everything with you to make sure you are getting the best deal and best match for your system.

I will def post when she comes in and as I brake her in...

Just took delivery of the Grateful Dead '78 Box set--5 complete shows from that year on CD. I am driving to Tuscaloosa then on to Huntsville and back over the next 4 days, so I guess I will be listening to that a good bit of the drive.

I'll be patiently awaiting the post with your experience once it's all through. I've been lusting after this for about a year and still haven't pulled the trigger.

Just curious--as someone who clearly spends a lot of time, money and energy into his home audio setup, do you have any special aftermarket equipment in your cars for listening on the road?

I have the Bang & Olufsen upgrade audio system in my Audi...it has a 512GB hard drive, 2 SD card inputs, an integrated iPod input, Sirius satellite, AM/FM/HD, Bluetooth audio, and a DVD drive. It is a 13 speaker system with a fairly substantial subwoofer mounted in the back under the rear deck and an 800 watt class D amp driving the system.

It will shake the car if I want it to.

As someone who was lucky enough to have his name in the liner notes of the beautiful new July 78' box I highly recommend it to anyone on the fence!

Tonight I'm going with Latvala's 33rd ;)

They are a fantastic group--two sisters from Stockholm, I believe. I discovered them on Sirius satellite radio. I also picked up their other LP this week..."The Lion's Roar"--I will probably listen to it in the next 24 hours.

Late night listening...

The Doors--"Live at the Aquarius Theater--The First Performance"...3 180g LPs pressed on clear vinyl, limited and numbered #8397/8500, RSD 2016 release.
Rhino Records, 2016

Folks, this is a great record and an even greater recording...it sounds fantastic!

If anyone wants one (I haven't seen any left in New Orleans) Charlemagne Records in Birmingham, AL has 2 copies left...$75.
