The last month I have been buying Sony ES gear from the Ebay...the fifth piece arrived today. Still have to acquire 5 more pieces to round out the complete system, which will have 4 power amps (all bridged to mono), preamp, CD, DAT, MiniDisc, cassette, tuner, and possibly a 555es turntable.

I am waiting for the following to show their faces on eBay so I can grab them, but they don’t pop up often, and I am looking for mint condition as well...

—TA-E80es preamp
—TC-K909es cassette deck
—DTC-2000es DAT deck
—CDP-X707es CD player

I have the tuner, and 4 power amps as of now...I’ll get some images up this weekend.

That Jeru album is so underappreciated. Very nice.

MiniDisc

Such an under appreciated platform. Is it sad that I still remember the first song I heard on MiniDisc? SOAD - Sugar, on a band bus headed to a football game.

My friend living in the hill county Texas swears by his Sony Es system. The old Sony’s set the bench mark back in the day. Lots of power. Now, great bang for the buck. I contemplated recently going the Sony ES route, but hesitated the used equipment route that I traveled for so long. Though still looking. Post those pics whenever. Oh yeah, if you ever have your open house, I will bring you a six pack of Corona Extra instead of a bottle of wine this time.

Ok, I just dipped my foot in the semi-audiophile world and it’s so much better than I expected. I have some Sonos stuff so I decided to try out their new amp. I paired it with Monitor Audio silver 100s in my kitchen and an older jbl sub my son had. I’ve only had it for a few days and the speakers sound very good to me. I will add the 500 floor standers in a few months but, I have the bug to get a turntable. Can you recommend a <$1000 table with a built in amp?

Marco is really the guy you wanna ask. I'm more of a vintage gear junkie. I would just get a stand alone phono pre amp. It will give you more flexibility with the turntable. Just Google best turntables under $1000. Great options out there at that price point

this is The only one i found with an actual amplifier built in after a quick search. I’m thinking that maybe you meant a turntable with a phono-preamp built in? If that’s the case there are a lot of options.

Amazon - $500

Maybe you mean pre-amp/phono pre-amp? What are you driving the Monitor Audio 100's with?

Yes, I meant a phono with pre amp. I’m using a Sonos amp 125wpc.

2017- 2LP, 45rmp Analogue Productions Pressing

I've had my eye on this pressing for awhile. Got on Acoustic Sounds the other day and saw they had dropped the price by $20. Now sitting at $35. That's a steal imo.

So just a heads up for the Skynyrd Boyz on here. Not sure how long they'll last at that price.
