Spot on ^^^^ . Not only is Marco knowledgeable about a broad range of topics, hi-end audio is his passion. If he doesn't know the answer, he will research it and get back with you. I've consulted with him a 1/2 dozen times on amps, pre-amps, cables, connects, audio racks, etc.... I recently purchased an Odyssey Khartargo amp, and Parasound Halo P5 pre-amp since I'm going with a dedicated 2 channel system.

You all have this wrong. It has nothing to do about helping answer a question about gear or a problem. The OP made a request to borrow a peice of Marco's gear for a commercial project. It's Marco's prerogative to reply or ignore such a request. He chose to ignore and the OP was asking why.

I think it's obvious, who hops on a forum and ask a total stranger to borrow his equipment... If anything ask how to message him privately

I agree! It was just that none of the replies were in any way addressing that issue.

Blaze - How do you like the Parasound Halo P5? I've been thinking about getting a new pre-amp, but would like a HT Bypass, which the Parasound has, plus DAC and Phono inputs. I'm at the point where simplifying my setup makes sense and the P5 would have everything in one case.

Once again, thanks Marco. Actual cost was $50 for genuine Sennheiser pads, but the headphones are good to go.

Honestly, I haven't even set my system up yet. To busy with life, work, kids, wife thinks she married Bob Villa, etc... I bought the P5 "like new, 2nd hand" off Audiogon. I'm currently researching speaker cables and IC's since I want to do it right the first time.
Marco provided insight and direction with my 2 ch. project. My audio system (less the phono) will be very similar to RiverMan's … Odyssey Khartargo amp and Halo P5 pre-amp. I'll include my OPPO 203 for CD's and Blu-ray. I spoke with Klauss at Odyssey and may pull the trigger on a pair of Groneberg 12' speaker cables ($260) for my Martin Logan Motion 40's. There are better cables on the market; however, these are an excellent value and will compliment the same Groneberg cables Klauss uses to build the Odyssey amp. I'll keep you posted once I'm up and running

Michael Jackson—“Thriller”...24 bit/176.4kHz high resolution file download from HD Tracks...playing from a Mac Mini solid state cue, using Amarra as the computer player and iTunes as the library, sent out to the McIntosh D1100 DAC in the main rig.
This is the finest I have ever heard Thriller—absolutely zero compression (it is actually about 6 dB lower in volume than most normal music files, as the artificial “loudness” that is added to so many recordings is not present in remastered hi-res files...but that’s what amplifiers are for—just turn up the volume knob +6 dB and you are at the same volume level, just without any compression, limiting, or distortion.
Quincy Jones knew what he was doing.

I quit trying to post pics. The links off of my phone on the imgur never work.
But I did make a move to add the Tidal app, HiFi version this afternoon. Not sure if it’s just me, but shite it sounded better than pandora or Spotify. Actually cancelled pandora subscription. B/w tidal and streaming SiriusXM, not sure if I’m going to keep Spotify either.
I’ll add I think it’s supposed to sound better right?
