And got this one up too...it is an image on a metal plate.

This is #2 of 25 to be released. Only 2 have been done so far.

This is the image that appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone back in 1997. The image is owned by Jay Blakesberg (of Grateful Dead family), and he has licensed a friend of mine to do the images on 36” x 36” metal plates. The Blakesberg signature and #2/25 are on the backside of the metal plate.

He helped this beginner step by step for over 2 weeks to get his new set up and help install it, and I'm not the only person. He's been extremely helpful to many in this topic

I've learned much just reading the discussions, Q's and A's, etc. in this thread between Marco and others. Lot of good info, little to no BS. A refreshing change from the OT.

Along those lines, can anyone recommend a good headphone repair shop? I left my Sennheiser's out and I guess my grandson was play DJ or something, and tore one of the inner liners.

TIA,

You may just get a new pair of ear pads. Look on amazon or eBay for your Sennheiser model number. Should be around $20 or less.

PhillipMarlowe,

Use windex on the platter.

As for Tidal, I am hardwired through a music server with 500MB download speed, so I have never had an issue. I don’t stream to a mobile device, so I can’t verify that.

Do make sure that you don’t have the app open and logged in on 2 different devices at the same time.

Try deleting and reinstalling the TIDAL app.

will do on the windex.

Yeah, I’ve literally tried everything I can think of in regards to tidal mobile app, including deleting/reinstalling. I actually sent an email to them and they responded Friday saying they were aware of the issue, but vague on any sort of fix.

I’m like you at home I have the tidal app installed on the bluesound node 2, and zero issues. It’s just on the LTE network on my phone. Strange. Likely going to cance and give deezer a try, but they don’t offer the mqa streaming that tidal does. Though I think Qobuz is supposed to be available in the states sometime this year.

Anyway, thanks for feedback.

Almost everyone, in my experience.

Never thought it would happen, but I finally bought a house and will be moving my big rig in a week or two.

It's actually wired for 5.x.4 Atmos downstairs in the living room, so I'm going to have an Atmos room and a simple 5-chanel "real" listening room with my turntable upstairs in my dedicated man cave.

I'll post some pictures once I'm set up.

I will ask. My friend that did the actual print to metal just left for 20 days of Dead & Co. and Phish shows in an RV. I did not purchase mine as it was given to me as a gift.

I will be with him at Curveball—I’ll find out then and let you know.

Awesome, I love to mess around with their vintage gear on my Focal’s in the living room. Like you, I’m a big fan of Audi Classics. I have 12 pieces of McIntosh gear and 10 of them have been bought through Mike at AC. Great part is they will give me pretty good discounts now! Anyway, back to the vintage Macs....I’ve currently got 3 vintage Mac amps: MC2105, MC2255, and MC2155. The 2255 is by far my favorite of that bunch, and even sounds better than my MC452 on some vinyl.

I know we’ve discussed speakers on here in the past...I’m getting pretty damn close to making a total overhaul of the speakers in the theater/media room. I use that room for my critical listening room as well as theater, so choosing the right front speakers gives me heartburn! Not to mention, I’ve currently got 11 damn fine B&W’s in there, so switching them all out is going to be a rather expensive undertaking. I’ve enjoyed my 802D’s for many years, I’m just ready for a change away from the B&W sound.

ever43—good to hear from you!...that new MC462 hits the streets this month!

Yeah—the vintage Mac thing can bury you if you aren’t careful...a 2105 leads to a 2255 leads to a MC240 leads to MC60s leads to...

I picked up another pair of MC 501s...may use them in mono to drive a balls out center channel. I keep seeing THIS killer center channel posted on AGon—dealer in Miami has 3 new in box. I figure I can get him to $7500.

The Focal Utopia center is $15k and, honestly, can’t run with this Big Mac center channel. I know Mac speakers don’t get much love in audio world, but if I ever left Focal, it would probably be for a pair of big Mac speakers. I have listened to them extensively and every time have walked away beyond impressed. They can play clean at extreme levels, with detail, depth, and zero break up.

They are also about to release an entire new line—the reference has been done already ($130k!!), so I would expect the ones down the line to be announced soon. It’s been a while since the speaker line was updated.
