Cpt Panic listens to too much shitty generic guitar noodiling bands to have much of an opinion on any music outside of that

Lock'n is > Coachella to him. fricking lol. Have yall seen the Lock'n lineup? It's the same exact fricking band over and over again. Crunchy noodle band with tasty guitar riff jams from the headliners to the bottom of the lineup.

I agree Coachella is more diverse, but this isn't true.

eh...it kinda is

Ok some have a more "Southern" tinge, or bluegrass or country

But when you get down to it's all about the heady guitar riffs over generic jambland grooves

anyone that saw that modest mouse show last night and has seen radiohead would say radiohead is exponentially better. Modest mouse live is very punk rock like with little change in key or melody. Just playing random shitty chords and screaming into the mic like drunk crazy idiot. Radiohead also has visualz brah.

a massive sample size of one concert. pretty much everything I have ever heard about modest mouse live has been extremely positive (except for maybe when Isaac is truly wasted)

he was. my friends said the show they saw at the lyric was better. I had a good time but it was a little underwhelming. maybe he'll be more sober for hangout. isaac is hilarious. there is a lot of interaction with crowd at the shows. he had a a five minute q &A sesh I just had a much much better experience at radiohead. the music is technically perfect the way they play it live. I think they are better musicians then modest mouse. mmm has awesome lyrics but it was hard to understand it with the screaming and the civics shitty acoustics.

I don't think there is a band that is comparable culturally to what the Beatles were. They crammed a lot of stuff in a very short amount of time and pop culture was way different back then.

I do get the Radiohead comparisons although they lost me about 7 or 8 years ago.

A band that reminds me of the Beatles in terms of their sense of melody, production ideas, interesting lyrics, well crafted drum parts, different textures, etc is Death Cab For Cutie. I'm sure some people won't get the comparison but to me when I listen to some of their records it reminds me of my favorite Beatles records.

In Rainbows came out 7 years ago and was one of their best and also was groundbreaking in the way it was released
