I'm going to see him later tonight and was just curious if anyone has seen him the last year or so. Obviously he's old as hell now and I know not to get my hopes too high. Is it still a pretty good show or do they basically have to prop him up? Does he try to flex the pipes much or is it moreso a talking kind of thing?

At a show last week he sang the aria "Il Meo Tesero" from Mozart's opera Don Giovanni, though he did forget some of the lyrics

I saw him in 2006 at Jazzfest and he did not sound good then. I'm a fan of his stuff but his voice just can't do it any more. Hopefully that was just an off day.

Saw him a couple years ago here in Houston. His band was Awesome! He however was horrible...you could not understand ONE word the man sang. People were starting to leave it was so bad. Even when you knew the words to the songs, you couldn't understand what the hell he said. It became comical.

I'm a Dylan fan. I saw him in concert at the minor league park in Memphis 2007ish. It was bad. Like bad bad. Maybe he can do better playing somewhere with some better acoustics. But Bob aint rocking no ball parks no more. I doubt his voice has improved much since then..

Well it's at an outdoor amphitheater, I guess that doesn't bode well.

My morning jacket and wilco are opening.

It's the worst sounding thing you've ever heard

And I imagine I'm one of the bigger Dylan fans that peruse these boards.

He'll sing a Girl/N Country and Johanna, but you won't recognize it.

I'll say this, though, in 2006 at Jazz Fest, he played Don't Think Twice with just his voice and an acoustic guitar. It is something I'll always remember.

but it'll be the worst voice you've ever seen live-literally.

MMJ will be the best part of that show. You go see Bob now just to tell your grandkids you did it, I haven't heard anyone who was left impressed with his live show in quite some time.

I'll be at the show tonight... Not really expecting much out of Dylan, but we'll see...

Wilco is always great live and so is MMJ..

We are timing it to miss Bob Weir, but I'm sure he'll pop up with Wilco to do Ripple...

Dave Chapelle tomorrow night at The Tabernacle..

First of all hippy, I don't like Weir's music... nothing against him personally.

Second of all, three bands are more than enough for me..

I find it hilarious that people say they can't understand what Dylan is saying anymore. I have never been able to understand WTF he is trying to say! Not trying to be a smart arse but damn, he has always been like that

Saw him in Charleston about a month ago. Everything about the concert was awesome: the badass guitarist, the awesome stage setting...pretty much everything except Bob Dylan himself who was completely incoherent.
