One of my bucket list guitarist I never saw. I’ve seen clapton, Joe b, trucks.
Didn’t see Paige, gill, bb, tramonti, prince. But bb was the biggest fail as a blues kid. What’s the Memphis street I need to go to? Phili Mississippi?

Saw him twice, first time with Tedeschi/Trucks and Buddy Guy.

but the most amazing performance i ever saw during that timeframe was Albert King

I got to see him back in 2008. third row right in front of his chair.
He still put on a good show but you could tell he was way past his prime.
His health had gotten to the point where they brought him to the side of the stage behind the curtains in a wheelchair and it was there waiting for him when he left the stage after the show.
Still glad I got to see him.

Saw BB “Kaaang” at the Mari Center in Maaahsville several years ago. I had Chairman Barbry’s tickets, front row, center stage…

I saw BB and Etta James at the Mahalia Jackson Theater in 2004. It was a night concert during Jazz Fest. Etta was the opener and she was the better of the two on that particular night. BB sat in a chair on stage during the entire show and did a lot of talking/mumbling and played maybe 10 songs. My brother, who is an avid blues guitarist fan, t was with me and he fell asleep during BB's performance.....BB was disappointing and Etta was very good.

Yes, as a kid at the Blue Room at the Fairmont / Roosevelt hotel in NOLA.
He delivered the "TRUTH" that night but I was too young to appreciate it.

Gill and Tramonti still perform. Page is at least still alive.
Vince Gill is on tour right now, and so is Mark Tramonti with Alter Bridge.
