Any Blackberry Smoke fans around here?

I love Southern Rock. I grew up listening to Lynard Skynard, Marshall Tucker, Charlie Daniels, Black Oak Arkansas, et al. I think these guys are the best present-day link to the music of that era that I've heard.

I find them pretty cheesy most of the time but catch me in the right mood and I enjoy the shite out of them

The guitar players, Charlie Starr and Paul Jackson, are excellent musicians. Two of the better guitarists I've heard in that genre in awhile.

Listen to Whiskey Meyers. They're a much better band with the same kind of sound you're looking for

I'll probably check them out at Hangout, depending on schedule and if there's not any conflicts. I've listened to some of their stuff and it's decent tunes for background music.
