I hardly have any ticket stubs from Rockefellers. I saw Michelle Shocked there and ran into one my High School teachers who I had 1st period the next morning. Another cool story about that is she is now my neighbor that lives 5 houses down.

I get it, not RHCP fan either.

I started going to shows again around 1993, and did a strong run for several years. Don't have time to dig up ticket stubs, but saw ton of other shows here in Houston during those mid-90's years- Nirvana, Soundgarden (4 times), Down, Metallica (3 times), Deftones (4 times), Primus, King Diamond, Monster Magnet, Marilyn Manson (3 times), Korn (3 times), Hole, Green Day, BioHazard, Mercyful Fate, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, Stone Temple Pilots, Pantera (3 times), Anthrax (4 times), and could go on & on. The mid 90's was a great period for live music, I was seeing shows every other week ,sometimes night to night, and considering I was already close to 40 years old, should tell you how important live music is to me!

Man, Dead Horse sure played some Houston shows. I had a friend that went to a bunch when we were in high school, '91-'95.

The converted grocery store...is what eventually became the International Ballroom (I think that is what it was called)? I saw Slayer there, if that's the case.

lots of shows didnt have actual tickets..like the FIXX at Yucatan Liquor Stand , pain teens, skinny puppy, etc. at NUMBERS and like i mentioned, those bazillion grunge shows at Emos.

I probably ran into you at Emos quite a bit if you were catching shows during that time period.

The seattle - Emos connections was STRONG in that era.

In 1976 and 1977, I saw the following acts at the Oakland Coliseum at outdoor concerts promoted by Bill Graham:
Peter Frampton, Fleetwood Mac, Gary Wright & UFO
J Geils Band, Jeff Beck, Blue Oyster Cult, Mahogany Rush & Sammy Hagar
The Who & Grateful Dead (saw them 2 days in a row)

Eagles, Steve Miller Band, Heart, Atlanta Rhythm Section & Foreigner
Peter Framption, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Santana & Outlaws
Led Zeppelin, Derringer & Judas Priest (saw them 2 days in a row)

In addition to those Day on the Green concerts, I went to several other shows at the Oakland Arena, the Cow Palace, Winterland and various nightclubs in the Bay Area. I saw the following artists:
