Dug out some cds and youtubes.

This is the tightest band I've ever seen. Saw them in Lafayette a few years back.

Allison has the voice of an angel.

Any fans here?

Very few mediocre musicians in bluegrass bands. They all seem to be badass.

It is one of the most underrated genres of music. Nashville never did give bluegrass the respect they deserve.

The Queen of bluegrass. She has more awards and acclaim than anyone in bluegrass.

More Grammies (27) than any female in music history. 42 nominations.

Bluegrass or Americana?

I just watched about 5 of her videos. I don't know of many more under-rated vocalists than she.

I don't really listen to bluegrass so I don't know her music. But the album she did with Robert Plant was amazing.

Bluegrass is a niche genre. A friend suggested AKUS a decade ago and I was mesmerized. To me, pound for pound, AKUS is the most talented band in the world.

I'm not always in the mood for bluegrass, but talent is talent, and AKUS has it to spare.

Saw the group on the O Brother tour. Saw her on a solo tour in Shreveport a few months ago. Both were excellent and memorable.

She's awesome, definitely talented. Also, love that she's a deadhead.

Krauss has a beautiful voice, but it wouldn’t be what it is without Mssr. Douglas.

I've been paying attention to Alison Krauss, since she was a teenager. She was performing with The Cox Family back then. The first time I heard her open her mouth, I knew that she was going to be huge, and she was a great fiddle player, on top of just a great voice.
Jerry Douglas is great, but Alison Krauss was a sure fire success, since the first time she ever sang her first note.
