I don't even think Jar of Flies is AiC's best EP

Jar of Flies is my absolute favorite thing they ever did even though its technically an EP.

AIC = GOAT

ETA: I love it when someone tells me they prefer Metallica, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, RHCP, Soundgarden etc etc etc...because I know right away that said person is a pussy.

I love AIC, but this statement is downright comical.

I love it when people post this because I then know they are a total piece of shite in every aspect of life.

Both AiC EP's are fantastic.

Sap has Brother and Got Me Wrong, both in my top 5 AiC songs.

Jar of Flies is so damn haunting and it contains Nutshell and Don't Follow, also in my top 5 AiC songs.

What stuck out the most? I did the same thing recently and could not stop listening to Rain When I Die. This is definitely a top 10 album for me of all time.

And it's definitely more metal than grunge. I think there's a solo every song. Of course I sometimes forget that even Nevermind had "solos" - even if they were just reiterations of the vocal melody usually.

Put nutshell on any record by any band, and that record instantly becomes their best

Nah. JoF was an interesting experiment but just sort of boring. Even the last full studio album was better than JoF.

Listened to that album again recently. It's AMAZING how far ahead of that time period it was. The album itself still stands up well today.

I know Would? is an influential track and a well-known AIC song, but it gets better - every single time I listen to it.

Eww. You have to listen to the Singles soundtrack for that one.

Uh - it's the last track on dirt.
