My mom got a CD of theirs for Christmas.

Should she chunk it or is it worth a listen?

One of the best albums of the year. It's one of those CD's both you and your mom can enjoy. Not only can the singer wail, but they can lay down a good groove.

I'm not a bro.

I'll give it a whirl. My mom has excellent taste in music, but it takes her a little while to warm to some of the new stuff.

Nominated for a Grammy. One of the most well known bands in the music world right now.

What? You are a moron

The group received three nominations for the 2013 Grammy Awards: one for best new artist; one for best rock performance, for "Hold On"; and one for best recording package with their first album, Boys & Girls.

In November 2011 the band was signed by Rough Trade Records in the United Kingdom and ATO Records in the United States. In February 2012, the band was nominated for a mtvU Woodie for "best live performance".[13] Recently, Jack White tapped them to launch a series of singles for Third Man Records.[14]

The band's first full length album, Boys & Girls, was made available to be streamed live in its entirety on April 1, 2012.[15] In June 2012, the band played a closing set for the first night of the 2012 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.

When jack white has you opening for him, recording singles in his studio, nominated for 3 Grammys, closing out the first night of bonnaroo...

Yeah, not that big of a band I guess

Where do you people come from?

in the world? bigger than Muse? Bruce? Foo Fighters? Mumford? etc. etc.

i love the shakes, dude. don't get me wrong. but to call them one of the biggest acts in the world when they are still playing in smaller venues is just outlandish. i think in the future they will be very big. and i hope they do get big. but they aren't there yet.

Again what channel are they on on Sirius radio? Not that hard of a question. I listen to alt nation and spectrum for new music.

Ok I answered my own question by checking DSR. They play on Spectrum. Listened to both singles, sounds ok. Don't get the hype however.
