Word from a reliable source is that they are playing some secret shows at sxsw between Dallas and Nola. Otherwise, they'd be possibly be playing Baton Rouge.

That's a little misleading as far as the Bonnaroo comment..they played in a tent for that Fest and watched Radiohead afterwards right near a guy I know.
I love them, been listening to them since the spring and got to have a beer with Brittany after she opened for Jack at the Ryman.
But they're pretty new and not everyone has caught on quite yet.

Wait? Did someone use a Grammy nomination as a reason to check a band out? The Grammys are, and always have been, a joke. You should check out the Shakes DESPITE the Grammy nom.

It's sad but I'd like them better if they were the any other state shakes.

There are next to zero examples of a CD I would get as a gift (A frickING GIFT) and chunk without listening.
Alabama Shakes is not one of those.
