I just turned 40. While my musical tastes have changed I can trace most of the stuff I listen to regularly back to The Grateful Dead - jazz, bluegrass, alt-country, electronica and anything cosmically weird.

I think Phish is amazingly talented and Widespread Panic's concerts are the best parties going. To this day I think a Leftover Salmon concert I saw in the late 90s was the most fun I've ever had in my life.

I have a kid now and work about 60 hrs/week. I don't travel anymore but I try to go see some of those bands when they come locally. I don't eat a ten strip anymore, but I'll gobble some chocolates and smoke a bowl.

I agree with this.

While I don't really enjoy Phish I can't deny the insane amount of talent they have. And a WSP show really is the greatest party going right now

How do you know if you have never been to a Phish show?

As someone who has seen both several times, Phish wins and it ain't even close.

I'm at a loss for the love that Panic continues to receive on here.

Seriously? Every thread about them is flamed uncontrollably. And I mean every thread. It's like the same 5 posters just cannot handle the fact that people like them. If you don't that's fine but damn let it go.

The homoeroticism that runs rampant through y'all's little group of phans on this board is disturbing.

I read your posts.

I've been seeing shows for over 20 years and your type has always existed. I remember the Zappa vs Garcia pissing matches. The Phish vs Panic thing was around when you were pooping yellow. It was stupid then too.

I actually like Bell, but Panic is just so played out and boring.

Why?

I don't enjoy their music. I respect their talent but their music is not fun nor entertaining to me. Why would I want to spend 3 hours listening to music I don't enjoy. Much less travel to do it

Cool. I get that. That's you're opinion but there are thousands upon thousands of people who disagree with you. So just don't go to their shows and get over it

You're honestly going to sit there with a straight face and tell me that you'd rather go to a Panic show than a Phish show?

Are you half retarded? That's exactly what I've been saying since the music board has been born

Well he's a fan of one band but not a fan of the other so probably... Why is it so hard to grasp?

I would love to see a Phish show btw
