My wife and I were married for 24 years, together for 27. It’s just a matter of final papers now until it’s over. I’ve been listening to music that touches on this for the last several months. I would like to post this mix, and if anyone in a slightly similar situation would like to add, it would be great. I’ll edit with links tomorrow. I’m a bit intoxicated now, thus the existence of this thread.

Fleetwood Mac - Dreams

Phosphorescent - Song for Zula

Matthew Sweet - You Don’t Love Me

Meatloaf - Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad

Duran Duran - Ordinary World

The National - Slipped

Bon Iver - I Can’t Make You Love Me (cover)

Pearl Jam - Nothingman

Charles Bradley - Changes (Black Sabbath cover)

I've been divorced 3 times. Sad music, was the last thing I wanted to hear.

Dude, don’t do this to yourself.....it’ll only make matters worse. Mentally. Been there, done that!!

Actually, I’ve been “doing it to myself” for several months. It’s been pretty cathartic and helped me face the situation head on, I believe. We are still on good terms, everything was uncontested, our kids are grown and out of the house, so that wasn’t an issue. It’s just a matter of adjusting to the fact that the person who has been by your side for 27 years is no longer there.
