Baws, there is one glaring issue I can't accept...the Mississippi River is NEVER "going dry".
Had Junior changed it to "flowing high", "running high", or "flooding high", the tune could have a legit claim as Best Country Song Ever.

Wrong. Nobody is Hank Sr., but that run of albums Jr. had in the late 70's early 80's was spectacular.
