Anthony Kiedis: "The Buddhist in the frat house."
Billy Corgan: "The suspicion that Corgan believes himself a poet was confirmed in 2004 when a collection of his atrocious verse, Blinking With Fists: Poems, was published."

Hoo-hoo
This is a story about Billy Joe and Bobbie Sue
Two young lovers with nothin' better to do
Than sit around the house, get high, and watch the tube
And here is what happened when they decided to cut loose
They headed down to, ooh, old El Paso
That's where they ran into a great big hassle
Billy Joe shot a man while robbing his castle
Bobbie Sue took the money and run
Hoo-hoo-hoo, go on, take the money and run
Go on, take the money and run
Hoo-hoo-hoo, go on, take the money and run
Go on, take the money and run
Hoo-hoo-hoo, billy Mack is a detective down in Texas
You know he knows just exactly what the facts is
He ain't gonna let those two escape justice
He makes his livin' off of the people's taxes
Bobbie Sue, whoa, whoa, she slipped away
Billy Joe caught up to her the very next day
They got the money, hey, you know they got away
They headed down south and they're still running today
Singin' go on take the money and run
Go on, take the money and run
Hoo-hoo-hoo, go on, take the money and run
Oh lord, go on, take the money and run
Hoo-hoo-hoo
Hey, yeah, go on, take the money and run, yeah (yeah)
Hoo-hoo-hoo, go on, take the money and run
Oh lord, go on, take the money and run, yeah (yeah)

#2 Neil Peart. Seriously?
shite list with Peart #2 and no David Lee Roth to be found.

I knew Neil would be high on the list. Critics hate him as a songwriter. I mean, he didn't write "she loves you yeah yeah" so he wasn't for everyone.
Sting at #1 surprises me. That is a humiliating kick in the crotch.

My son, who is a huge Rush fan, said that people either love or hate Neil Peart.
I think he was a fantastic drummer.

10. Jim Morrison;
12. David Crosby;
13. Peter Gabriel;
25. KRS One; and
38. Paul McCartney....
are just plain wrong.

Sometimes I think they picked someone like Crosby so they could write:

A ’60s legend who has traveled many roads, usually while high and possibly armed.

If internet lists weren’t stupid, no one would talk about them.

This list reads like the bitter diatribe of a talentless critic who wishes they had accomplished something, anything, in their miserable life.

It was in jest. It’s from critic’s quotes that they read in the Rush documentary.

GOAT
but also tremendously campy

He could be campy and then he could write lyrics like:
[Verse 1]
In the quiet silent seconds I, I turned off the light switch
And I, I came down to meet you in the half light the moon left
While a, a cluster of night jars sang some songs out of tune
A mantle of bright light shone down from a room
[Chorus]
"Come down in time", I still hear her say
So clear in my ear like it was today
"Come down in time" was the message she gave
Come down in time and I'll meet you half way
[Verse 2]
Well, I don't know if I should have heard her as yet
But a, a true love like hers is a, a hard love to get
And I, I've walked most all the way and I, I ain't heard her call
And I, I'm getting to thinking if she's coming at all
[Chorus]
"Come down in time", I still hear her say
So clear in my ear like it was today
"Come down in time" was the message she gave
Come down in time and I'll meet you half way
[Outro]
There are women, women and some hold you tight
While some leave you counting the stars in the night

Peart and Sting suffer from the same problem as lyricists.
