look i'm not even gonna do this again, you clearly don't know your head from your arse if you think 2pac is overrated. if you put biggie in front of him, fine, i can see that, but to not have him top 2 and say he's overrated is just retarded.

I don't know what criteria you're going by. I'm going by prowess as a lyricist.

And under that criteria, I don't see how ANYBODY could put him in the top 5.

Tupac a better lyricist than Nas?
Tupac a better lyricist than Em?
Tupac a better lyricist than either Andre or Big Boi?

I just don't see it man.

I asked him to point out which of the rappers on my list he thinks are terrible. He won't respond. I also asked who he thought was better between Biggie and 2pac. He won't respond.

2pac imo is better but i can understand why some people think biggie is #1, to me they are interchangeable

1. Biggie -legit
2. Method Man - this is a joke right?
3. Outkast - legit
4. Eminem legit
5. Nas -i'm not really a fan but i can see why people like him
6. Lupe - ok but not even close to top 10
7. Slick Rick -joke
8. Common - hilarious joke
9. Mos Def - legit but not top 20
10. DMX - legit top 10 for sure
11. Jay-z legit top 10 for sure.

I'll take Tupac over Eminem and Nas, but not Andre & Big Boi.

it's hilarious you want to judge everybody on their "lyricist" skillz, yet you have DMX on this list.

Not at all. Guy disappeared, but was amazing when he was doing his thing.

Why do you think he was the only guy who was given his own track on Wu Tang's first album?

Why do you think that, over all Wu-tang albums, he raps on more verses than anybody else?

Have you ever even listened to Method Man? How old are you?

7. Slick Rick -joke

You know nothing about hip hop music. Slick Rick is a legend. Do you know how many songs have been written in tribute to Slick Rick.

And he remains hip hop's greatest storyteller.

Again, I'm wondering if you've even listened to any of his material.

8. Common - hilarious joke

Common is responsible for the single best rap verse of which I'm aware.

The Roots -- Act Too, Love of my life

Starts at 1:54.

This is one of my favorite songs ever, and I was still picking stuff up from that verse on my 100th listen. Every line has a meaning, a sub-meaning, and a sub-sub-meaning. It's masterful.
