Dunno about yall but Im really looking forward to this movie. Not that I put alot into RT, it has 19 reviews at 100%. And, I have no idea what the hell the National Board of Review is, but it said its the movie of the year. Same gal who did the hurt locker directed it. Anything to do with Seals im fricking stoked for.

National Board of Review and the New York Film Critics Circle both named it their Best Film of the Year. They are both Academy Award precursors.

I like the "un-redacted" title creds... Very effective.

Hurt locker was unwatchable. Sold as a gritty realistic take on the war, but was absurdly unrealistic. I hope this movie is better.

The Hurt Locker really disappointed me. After we got done watching it I seriously wondered if we had watched the wrong movie. The critics raved about it and I couldn't help coming away very underwhelmed.

Yes I'm sure he went with a 3-man eod team all over Iraq without a convoy, except when he left the wire alone. FWIW I watched it on the way back from Afghanistan.

And yes I do have hopes for this movie.

Haha not quite, he was referring to how it showed that there was a lot of down time on his second tour.

I'm aware everyone's experience was different

i didn't think it was a super realistic portrayal, but it had some really well-made, intense scenes

it was pretty enjoyable

i hope the same technical skill is used on ZD30 but with more realism. i like intelligence-gathering movies that are well made. i even liked the show rubicon, which moved as fast as a glacier
