I cut cable years ago and I've only used Amazon and Netflix until two years ago. I switched up from Netflix to Hulu for more options.
Part of the cable drop was cost but a lot of these streaming services are going to same way with price increases. If you had to choose two for your fix of entertainment which ones do you pick?

Right now I tend to stream sports off of Reddit and I have MLB TV/NFL Network.

This, and for my wife and I nothing else comes close to this conversation. We talk about getting Hulu for a month or two with The Orville comes out exclusive to it later this year, but that's it.

For the live streaming like Youtube TV, Sling and Hulu Live you need to sit down and make a list of what is important to you not only channel wise but DVR and pick the one that fits you the best, we prefer Hulu Live but coming from no cable/sat you might be more flexible.

The one service you didn't list that I would prefer to have is HBO Max. Out of every streaming service it is the last one I would give up.

I agree with you about HBO max. I also have basic Hulu, Amazon Prime and Netflix. I‘m about to take a break from Netflix as I found I was streaming their content the least and I also noticed by looking at their top 10 streaming list they are putting out a lot of stuff I’m not interested in. Hell, I’ve probably been watching more stuff on Pluto TV than Netflix the last several months.

YouTube TV, Disney+ and Amazon Prime. Prime because we use it for more than just the streaming service. Like Smash, I've noticed that I don't watch much Netflix anymore. I've also always had HBO and it has gotten even better with HBO Max. With the Disney plus bundle you also get Hulu and ESPN+. All that and we still pay a shite ton less than we did for cable.

So what is ESPN +. Does that have all of the ESPN channels because if so I might just drop YouTube tv

No it does not, I have the bundle currently and certain live events I cannot watch. Which is why I have NFL Network work and MLB TV

I cut out cable a year ago and switched to Youtube TV. Then they started raising their price. After a year, I noticed that Youtube TV and my internet service was costing me more each month than cable. So I looked at cable bundles again and I got a good deal with Xfinity so now I am back with Xfinity paying a lot less than Youtube TV and internet service.

That's where I was for awhile
Internet was 49.99 a month
Amazon was 99 a year
Netflix was 8.99

Now internet is 74.99
Amazon is 120 a year
Hulu/Disney/ESPN is 14

Was looking at Sling and YouTube but I could just get cable for cheaper now

Cutting the cord and trying to save is a pipe dream if you’re not going to change viewing habits. Gotta let it go.

YTTV from Sept-Jan for college football. We just cancelled Netflix 2 months ago. We get Hulu with ads for free as a promotional thing for our family cell phone plan. Cancelled Prime because they no longer properly adhere to their delivery dates and their selection were free movies/shows sucks. Cancelled Disney+ after we nostalgia-tripped a bit and the last season of Mandalorian wrapped up. CGI Luke was about as good as it’s going to get, so I’ve bailed before I pay to see more terrible Star Wars

CBS, Peacock, all that other shite. Please. Not worth it. If I want network trash, I’d install an antenna. It’s basically YouTube videos (free), Hulu (free with our cell phone plan) and 5 months of YTTV. We can always sub to something, binge a show, then cancel. I don’t think we’ll watch shows anymore until all their seasons are complete and available. Better shite to do than watch and wait.

HULU and HBO MAX get the most runs in our house. Netflix has become a pay for one month when a few shows are out we want to see. We like the options on these two the best. Prime may have good stuff, but their GUI is cumbersome. We don’t use it much

I'm currently doing HULU plus Live TV mainly because YTTV doesn't have the history channel. We actually watch it quite a bit. I also have Prime and with ATT I have HBO Max. I wonder if I should look at something different.

Not considering live TV, Hulu is my #1 for content with Netflix #2. Amazon and Disney are secondary and could come and go as desired.

Netflix sucks now. Ever since the other companies made their own streaming services, their library has been terrible. I don’t care about their new direct to Netflix films. HBO Max has become the main one I use now. How long is the free HBO with ATT? As long as you have the contract or just one year?

I need Fox Sports regional for the Mavs/Rangers/Stars and I need Pac 12 Net so my wife can watch her Colorado Buffaloes.

The only way to assure we have the content from both of those networks is Spectrum. I hate using streams to watch sports so w/cable I stay.

If we weren't big sports fans we'd probably do the Hulu/Disney+/ESPN+ bundle, AMC+, Peacock, and HBOMax as our main TV grouping. Netflix is pretty hit or miss for us, Paramount+ needs major work, Showtime has fallen off lately, and as much as I like Starz I would be fine only ordering it for a month here and there to watch certain shows. Apple has some quality stuff but we're still on our free year so who knows if we'll keep it.

HBO max is now free for a year if you have AT&T internet. I went to pay my bill and said i have it for the next year at no cost. enjoying it so far.

I have an antenna for local channels. I used to have YTTV but the pricing went up too much. Might as well have stayed with Dish. We have Netflix and Prime for the wife. HBO Max with AT&T cell service. And apps like Cinema HD, Pluto, IMDB.

Netflix is good for mindless entertainment, HBO max is for what "you really wanna watch."
