5Just curious to see if anyone in here is familiar with what equipment is needed to do videos for a YouTube channel. My 11 year son is wanting this for Christmas and I have no idea what is needed. Please help!

This is what I was going to say. But that aside, is there any "equipment" you need besides a camera (phone?), internet access, and a YouTube account?

Elgato HD60s Capture Card (Captures video from a PS or Xbox)
Logitech C920 Webcam (cheaper models at Walmart)
OBS Studio (Free but will need a decent computer to run this program)

on 11/30/20 at 10:10 am to CocomoLSUA phone would be the most basic way to do it. If you really want to go all out you need a real camera, microphone, lights, and a desktop with video editing capabilities most likely a Mac with Final Cut Pro. Should be able to get all that for under 10 grand.

a lot of youtubers put what equipment they use in the description of their video. so go look through those.
