Man, Rome was so fricken good. Great acting, good storylines, political intrigue, etc. Heck, the shot of that battle early on where the Roman Legion was operating quite literally like machine-work (until drunk Pullo jumped out front) is one of my favorite battle scenes ever.
HBO made a huge mistake pulling it for monetary concerns causing them to squish everything into the last season. At least HBO learned their lesson with shows like Game of Thrones.
