It was a good thing Jamie had 2 half gallon cartons of milk in the refrigerator just in case a wild women comes in with bear spray to coat your face.

The writing and research was so weak. Most state AG’s are driven by a trooper from state police. Jamie would have had protection that would have prevented Beth from reaching him.
I mean... they had the governor sleeping alone in the governor's mansion with what... one local leo sitting in a car outside as his protection? And had 4 or 5 guys sneak in completely and totally undetected in the middle of the night?

Native American kids are supposedly raised to respect sacred ground but, the immediately run and start turning over head stones?
Yeah that first part is not true. I have a cousin by marriage that has a big ranch in WY and MT (like 300,000 acres) and while he doesn't have to deal with them directly, he does not have glowing things to say about the Indian population.
BUT EVEN STILL, it was the most off the wall shite ever with how they've been portrayed through the whole series.
We've been going 5 season portraying the Indians as the moral compass of Montana, and in the last episode, all of a sudden, they steal a bunch of pipe and dump it in some sacred lake and are flipping headstones and smoking out the white man's smell from the house before the ink dries on the deal.
Just bizarre (but actually on brand) behavior.

Glad I finally finished watching this train wreck.
At least 1923 is back in February.

It should have ended with a plane exploding in the sky behind Beth -- the Beck brothers' old plane bought by Californian tourists.

Looking forward to this. Interested to see how Spencer's arrival changes things. Looking forward to seeing his wife parading around naked.

That was total filler, Sheridan was trying to wrap this show up with the least possible effort. If I really gave a shite, I'd go back through season 5 and time how much filler material was in it.

Agreed,
There would have been a State Police unit out front of the house. With him under suspicion for involvement in the Goveners murder, the house would have been under surveillance.
Where's the FBI in all of this? A sitting govener gets murdered, and the FBI is nowhere to be seen???
I also didn't like the scene with the Indian kids. That burial site was not close to the house; how would they even know it was there, much less walk to it and start destroying it? Weak writing.

So how did it end? I can't give any more of my time to this show. Jamie was murdered? Who did it? Who ended up getting the ranch?

It just kinda ended.

Jamie was murdered?
Yes.

Who did it?
Beth started it and Rip ended it.

Who ended up getting the ranch?
The Indians.

Taylor Sheridan again showed us how badass he is. Beth killed Jamie after Rip stopped Jamie from killing her, Rip and Loyd took Jamie to the train station. Kayce gave the ranch to the Indians. The Indians immediately started tearing down the ranch. Everyone rode off into the sunset, listening to Lainy Wilson songs.

gallon of milk a day makes the skull impenetrable to tire iron shots obviously

But did you notice the first gallon? It had clumps in it. Why would you get a second gallon and not throw the obvious bad one out?

"guys I can't leave a giant plot hole hanging out there in this air tight script....No one would ever believe a single man has a need for 2 half gallons of milk in his fridge. Make sure one is lumpy so the viewer knows one is expired. frick I'm so goddamn smart. Let's go play some strip poker"

I see they are now calling it Yellowstone: 1923 which is probably a precursor to the "next" season which will be called Yellowstone: Beth and Rip or some such.

While I really like 1923, it's sort of a Debbie-Downer knowing the family eventually loses the ranch and essentially pissed away over 100 years of history.
Posted on 12/16/24 at 1:48 pm to CU_Tigers4life
Sheridan really betrayed the story with the ending of Yellowstone. I agree with you, why watch the precursors if you know they just end up losing it in the end. Totally cuts the legs out from under the whole story.

Ending was the laziest writing I’ve seen since the first Dexter finale.
