I really hope this is a situation where Sheridan realizes he destroyed Yellowstone to bring 1883 and Mayor of Kingstown to life and tries to fix his mistake, but I’m not counting on it.

The only logical reason for that to be written into the show is that there’s going to be a “new sheriff in town” that won’t cover for John, as cliche as that is.

This is just what the show is. Go hard at the beginning and end of each season and all of the middle episodes are just filler. I completely get the bitching about this season, it's been really slow the last 3-4 episodes, but I feel like it's been like this since the beginning. You either love, hate, or love to hate every character on the show.
The ending of tonight's episode was such a WTF was that moment to me. That was one of the more ridiculous things I've seen this show do, and that's saying a lot.

shite will hit the fan when John finds out that Jamie gave the guy in prison who set up the hit for Jamies dad immunity. It's leading up to a showdown between John and Jamie.
The whole Market Equities/Beth storyline is so over the top... Hmmm... I wonder who called the press that was waiting on the road.. I don't know? who could it have been? Maybe the sociopath that you have working for you that you're trying to take her family's land? No, no, no.. Couldn't be her..
Monica is preggo.... Great, she sticks around a little longer. And is Carter replacing Tate as the surrogate grandson? Sheesh..

yeah, those people built a multi billion dollar company but, aren't smart enough to figure this out?
John and Rip escalated the situation. but, i have a feeling the cop was going to try to make a move anyway at some point.
