Looks like Jaime gonna try to make a hard run at fricking John over the land sale next week. That should be pretty good

But why? The adoption angle? They’ve hammered home that Jamie would have likely turned out dogshit if not raised by John, much less be where he is today. Seems like a weak fabricated premise.

Sooo Bingham was right there when dude says who hired him. Bingham shows him the bodies to try to write his ticket out of there.

Could be the final straw.

Beth always talking down to him. Telling him he isn't good enough. That's backed up by John always being disappointed by his actions, which happened again with the abortion/sterilization. Gets sent off to law school, but is the blacksheep of the family. Keeps being given responsibility but having it taken away from him. Even when he tries to do something to help the family he ends up making another problem that has to be cleaned up (killing the reporter).

Now being lied to all these years about being adopted.

And it isn't like going against the family is a new move for him. He changed his position on things when running for office, so John abandons that campaign and brings in someone else to run against him.

Yeah. You are onto something here. Walker is headed for the train station regardless. Just wonder how much damage he's going to do before it happens.

Rip did get Walker to cut the brand off. So will be interesting to see who really has who by the balls.

yeah, in hindsight, this was a great move.

i thought teeter should have been the one to peel the brand off. but, this way they kind of secure walker's silence.

unless he has some kind of unconditional pardon thing going.

They already had what they needed with the prints on the steering wheel of the dead reporters Subaru... I don't think that peeling some skin is any more damning.

Jamie wants to be accepted and contribute but he has these impulses he can’t seem to control that cause chaos and invite Johns rejection. By spending time with his actual father, a criminal who’s the origin of Jamie’s impulses, Jamie can learn to identify and control the things that continue to plague him. If Jamie is his own worst enemy he has to figure out how to deal with that.

This post is better thought out than the entire script of S3

I like the episode but I just can’t stand the blonde chick that got the brand last night. She’s so over the top and just doesn’t fit.

That was cheesy as hell when they started kissing after just getting her arse kicked.

I agree, I’m not as sour on the character but I think the incident was poorly used. That should’ve been more serious and tragic, they were trampled by horses repeatedly and if you’ve ever been kicked you know how fatal what happened really is. Instead of maximizing it they used it as a romantic bonding experience and quick fix style revenge murder which seemed hollow to me. I agree with kciD, they’ve really dropped the ball on some good early ideas this season. They can be pragmatic or realistic and still have their soapy filler but instead it’s just been lazy.

seems to be a theme with this show
jimmy gets laid after just waking up from major surgery.
teeter and colby kissing after getting trampled

probably other instances i'm leaving out.

When they were in the truck going to set the horse free, LLoyd complained about Rip saying he wanted company and not saying a word for 6 hours. So they really did drive that far.

Right. But I'm talking about geography (I know, suspension of disbelief and all of that).

In real life, based on where the ranch is supposed to be (Paradise Valley), to drop the horse off would be 6 hours (probably more like 4) to the east of the ranch. To get to a bar in Dillon, MT (where they said they found Walker) they would have to drive that distance back to ranch, and then go another 2.5/3 hours west to get to Dillon. Unless that was your favorite bar in the whole world, why drive that far past the ranch to get a drink and then have to drive back? Just stop at a bar on the way.

But, based on where the ranch is in real life (Bitterroot Valley), it would somewhat work out because Dillon is in the next valley to the east of the real life ranch location.

Rip telling Beth he loves her after she got beat to shite.. Of course, he always loved her so I guess that doesn't really qualify..
