They explain why Beth hates Jamie in the most recent episode.
John hates him because Jamie has (on more than one occasion) betrayed the family. I think it's also just a personality difference too. He's less of a "rugged cowboy" than his brothers. John just doesn't identify with him.
Just John and Beth. He gets along fine with Rip, Kayce, and everyone else.

It will be interesting. Rip won't exactly be thrilled with Beth when he finds out the truth. That could put him at odds with John too.

Can’t believe they are circling back around to Monica being a more key character again. That was the worst part of season 2 imo. She’s just not a strong character and her “white man bad” act gets old quick.

I just don’t get how 1 episode they are developing serious story lines and then the following weekend they just say frick it and run with some unrelated bullshite for an hr.
What was the point of the missing girl story? Also, none of the villains in this season are actually dangerous like in the past. So what’s gonna happen? 4 episodes of legal battle and then boom it’s over. I’m confused

I’ve tried to ignore the more outrageous liberties the producers have taken with scenes and storylines. But it’s getting tougher to ignore them.
“Ride the buffalo” was one of the dumbest things I think I’ve seen on this show. The entire scenario was just silly. I don’t mind stretching things to tell the story, but a lot of this is so bad it’s distracting.

Well you can only have murderous thugs as villains so many times. Christ, it wasn’t this dangerous for Pale face when the Indians were still forming war parties. I’ll give them credit for introducing a new less lethal form of villain.
Of course we still have a few episodes left. The body count will likely start to rise.
