Me too. Did anyone notice during the hanging scene that some guy on the ground was punching the guy with the noose around his neck? For some reason, that summed up the evil and the hatred of the Nazis to me. You're about to kill someone in brutal fashion, yet you still have to take swings at him.

I saw that. It looked like the guy being hanged was kicking him in retaliation. I don't know how these guys went so peacefully. I would think I would have a tough time not going down in a maniacal tantrum.

That struck me as well. They're just standing there accepting their fate..
Also, the guy going to each guy hanging and yanking on them to ensure the neck was broken. frick...........

Coke, I think its two hours every night thru Saturday. I just didnt start watching the one last night until after 10 and was starting to fall asleep an hour in. I'm going to watch the second hour of episode one and both hours of episode two tonight. Hopefully.
Right, I just won't have time to clear much off my DVR this week. LSU game tonight. League bball tomorrow night. Trivia Wednesday. Friday we're leaving for Memphis/Oxford early in the afternoon. Come back late Saturday night. Leave Sunday morning early for Orlando.
So at some point in there I'll have to finish washing clothes, pack, clear off this week's shite on my DVR. And I can't record ten+ hours of HD shite or else my DVR will get full and start deleting shite. I may just try to catch what I can here and there, and record some of the reruns after I get back from vacation.

1. There are deaths worse than hanging.
2. By going peacefully, the person may have been protecting others.

This has to be one of the best, if not the best shows (as far as documentaries/history) I've ever watched. Reminds of watching Planet Earth for the first time.

This makes you realize that the war would have turned out completely different if we would have lost just one or two of the bigger battles that we won. Australia would have been taken over by Japan if we wouldn't have won at Guadalcanal.

8
There are two new episodes tonight. Tarawa and Italian campaign at 8, Operation Overlord and the US 8th Air Force at 9.

One of the most gripping, somber documentaries I've ever seen. Yet a pleasant departure from the usual sensationalist and cheesy reenactment crap on this channel.

Exceeding my expectations actually.

Wading 700 yards thru the surf while being shot at? Needless to say they were all scared shitless. They were some tough dudes.

the "uncensored footage" they just showed was gruesome, makes you think just how gritty these guys had to be to go through that
