The first one is a pretty solid sci-fi movie but the second one does get a little weird - as does the story in the book. I thought it was pretty faithful but if you didn’t read and enjoy the book I could see where it could be a bit long and tedious with some of the political and mystical stuff.

She has a point, it seemed like DV allowed the studio to interfere with D2 in order to get his 3rd movie and finish the series.

She also said she didn't like how the power bitches lost all their feminity, why can't a woman be power bitch and still be feminine. I don't know to what this refers in this movie but it annoyed her.

Dune 2 was one of the best movies I've seen in the theaters in years.

Watch the one from the 80s first, while sober, so you can go, "WTF is going on?" for most of the movie. The recent two movies will make far more sense if you've watched the 80s original.

Saw it tonight. Didn't like that the Guild was completely omitted.

Didn't like how they made emperor a nice guy. Supposed to be arrogant.

I wasn’t a fan tbh; thought the younger cousin was cringe and I just don’t buy Timothy Chamalala as a messiah. The secondary actors and the cinematography were amazing though

Worth the watch but I’m just not a fanboy for part 2 like most people

DV is the best in Sci fi
Even if you don’t like the story, it’s still worth it
Paul’s first worm ride was as dope as anything you’ll ever watch
