I tease people with fake spoilers for movies all the time.

Examples:

For TFA: Kylo is Luke’s son
For IW: Thanos kills Hawkeye
For TLJ: It’s a good movie.
For Aquaman: Mera is the real villain
For Shazam: Can’t believe Green Lantern showed up.

If it’s not one of those big superhero/pop culture ones, but just a movie that teases a surprise or twist, I just tell people it’s all a dream.

I usually say that at the end, it was all a dream and ______ wakes up in bed with Suzanne Plachette.

Told someone I was on the way to see The Sixth Sense. Oh, it's great. Just like Jacobs Ladder.

Which of course made me realize what the twist was almost immediately.

Saw 1 (spoilers)

Was putting it on and best friend says "no need to watch, it's the dead guy in the middle of the room"...

He was right, and a douche!

Han Solo's fate in Force Awakens was ruined for me by trolls on Facebook who thought it was funny to post spoilers in random threads.

Same thing happened to me for Avengers Endgame and Rise of Skywalker. For Endgame, someone posted a screenshot of Hulk wearing the Infinity Gauntlet. For Rise of Skywalker, it was a screenshot of Rey igniting her yellow lightsaber.

These spoilers weren't that bad, but it still irked me, Rey's lightsaber more than the Engame's.

For me someone posted an animated gif of the Iron Man snap that had the caption "Spoiled". I'd already seen the movie at that point, but it was still pretty shitty.

Some jackass on here started a thread on movie board titled “ so what are Robert downey and Chris Evans acting futures moving forward?”

One night in 2013 I was channel surfing and saw that an episode of Breaking Bad was on. I had never seen the show but had heard how great it was. I decided to watch it and really enjoyed it, but at the end something felt kind of off about the episode. I googled it afterwards and realized what I had just done. That episode was "Felina". I watched the entire series after that knowing how it ended and I still regret it to this day.

Going to show my age here, but it is what it is.

High School teacher came in on a Monday, told us that he had seen the new Planet of the Apes movie (the original) over the weekend and then went on to reveal that they had been on Earth all the time.

My worst ever spoiler experience wasn’t with A tv show or movie. It happened with a game. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. As I was playing through the first time, I was reading some game play forums, just casually getting some tips on building a character, and some a-hole posted the greatest reveal in Star Wars history right in the middle of the thread, no warning at all. It didn’t stop the game from being amazing, but I was really bummed when I reached the great reveal in game.

The soundtrack to Episode 1 came out a week or so before the movie. I was reading the back cover at Walmart and one of the tracks is titled "Qui Gon's Funeral".

I had seen Joker and after the LSU/Alabama game, I posted on Facebook a short video of the “you get what you deserve” scene that I had found with Burrow’s face imposed on Arthur and Saban’s face imposed on Murray. I know it probably spoiled the movie for some people, but I’m not even sorry. It was hilarious and it needed to be out there after that win

GOT

I was planning on watching the show about 30 minutes on a delay waiting on my girlfriend

This MF on FB posts as his status "John Snow lives!"

I had a pretty good idea that was coming but I hadn't even started the episode
