I do not get all the downvotes for Minnie Driver in GWH.
It has always struck me, even when I saw the movie in the theater, how unlikely it would be for a guy to fall that head over heels for such an Ugmo.
Minnie Driver is unattractive by regular standards not just Hollywood.

I just watched Idiocracy. Maya Rudolph is just an ugly woman. It's not even Hillary Swank debateable. Whatever comedy or acting chops she might bring to a role were wasted too. Why not cast a generic cute girl for that?
I give a pass to meaty roles that require serious acting chops (like Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction).

And the movie version of Donna is better looking than the real one.

Because it's a straight comedy not a fricking rom com. She's not really even a love interest, they just end up married. Her and Luke Wilson are in like 3 scenes together.

This is absurd, Maya Rudolph isn't a knockout but she's not ugly. She must bring something to the table for Paul Thomas Anderson to keep her pregnant for like 5 years straight.
