Didn't Lohan turn down the Heather Graham role in The Hangover? Not saying it was the worst, but not sure why she was turning down roles and could of done nothing but help her again.

Connery would have been an interesting alternative as Gandalf, but in the end, I have trouble seeing how he could submerge his very strong personality and the 007 factor to be taken as seriously as this key role required.

I don't know if anyone else has pointed it out, but he would have never seen 1 penny of that money. Hollywood movies don't make money.

It said he would have made 15% of the gross. That's not dependent on the accountants finding a profit.

Jack Nicholson had a deal for 15% of the gross (on top of his usual fee) to play the Joker in Batman in 1989. He supposedly made $60M.

Steve Young turned down Brett Favre's part in Something About Mary due to his Mormon beliefs. I doubt his W-2 was negatively affected.

But it's impossible to mispronounce "Steve Young"! Favre was the only guy who could have played that role.

Which remains a Hollywood record to this day.

She didn't have the body for the painting scene.

That's just it though, he didn't hang it up. He decided to do League of Extraordinary Gentlemen in 2002 or 2003.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was such a screw up that it drove Connery into retirement. It's unfortunate that it ended that way.

He should've stopped after Finding Forrester. That was a great movie.
