More negative fallout for Will Smith over 'staged' slap.

Netflix, Apple+ bail on projects. Cops are now involved. Smith has resigned from the Academy...

More unsatisfactory stuff - YouTubes

Yea, I initially figured it was fake, but if he is facing fallout like this, it most likely wasn’t fake.

Don’t assault someone on live television and you wouldn’t have to deal with this.

I think Chris assumed it was theatrics as well. Then the slap happened, and the very vocal profanity that followed. There was nervous laughter because no one believed this was real. How could it be? Nothing like this EVER happens in awards shows.

But it did.

Wait. People still think this was staged?

Holy Christ the level of stupidity.

These are the same people who see a conspiracy behind every act. These people have never actually tried to lead a group of individuals at all. They have no idea what it takes to get 10 people to agree on anything, because they have never done it.

Yeah. The Academy is obviously playing the long game with this one. They're going to wait and have Will Smith's reputation dragged through the mud before everyone comes out and finally admits the whole thing was an act.

I think what saved the whole thing (and got people thinking it was a staged event) was Chris Rock maintaining his composure and remaining professional. That and American audiences weren't treated to the expletives Smith was throwing at Rock.

And Chris Rock having nothing to say and no material on this at his show the other night is a part of it
..yet. I hope he does what he can do. Hope he eventually writes some great material.

The better question is what the hell is wrong with you thinking opinions of celebrities gives any weight whatsoever to what is factual? I find it staggeringly...naive? (being nice) that you would relinquish your own judgment in deference to celebrity opinions/actions as the polestar of truth.

These people are not authorities, but that you seem to think so, or that anyone should be persuaded by them is not just nonsensical, but juvenile.

Jesus Christ what the frick are you talking about? All kidding aside you really do seem to be unbalanced in some way

I got one for you that maybe you haven't learned yet.

The problem with stupid people is they think they're smart.

That's you in this thread, sounding like a freshman philosophy major.

Several of his current projects have been slowed or stopped. Was that part of his plan? Damaged reputation, hurting projects, and losing money?

I don’t know what kind of proof you expect to get on a message board but the subsequent fallout is a pretty strong indicator that it was not staged.

So where is your proof that it was staged?
