Will I be disappointed in the way Peaky Blinders ends?

Just started season 6 and I feel like this is going to be a huge letdown. I don't want to post in the season thread because of potential spoilers. Someone tell me I am wrong.

Yes, they mailed it in after the real life Pol died.

You’ll be more disappointed by episodes 2-5 than the actual ending.

I haven’t heard great things about the new season. I was not a fan of the fascist plot point direction they went in season 5 and it seems to be going further that route. Just couldn’t keep my interest with that plot.

There’s a lot of rumors/discussion about a movie to follow this, without knowing the ending of this season, hopefully we can have the chance for a movie with a great send off more in line with the first 4 seasons of peaky

It was alright. I can appreciate the ending but wanted more answers. This leads me to think the movie rumors may be true. Hopefully they are.

Nowhere near as bad as GoT ending. It was a lame ending but at least they explained how it happened. Could have been much, much worse.

Exactly. Seemed forced, and that they REALLY wanted to say fascism as many times as possible.

It was very uninteresting from a historical perspective. It also made the Peaky bros seem small in number and almost obsolete.

Also, ive never seen a show show so many slow burning cigarette shots. What was up with that? It got really old.

Also, not near enough screen time for a certain rum smuggler

I’m on episode 4 now.

I don’t like what they did with Arthur by making him a pussy arse shriveled up drug addict. Too much focus on the women. Not enough of the better characters like Alfie and Michael. They took the main characters besides Tommy basically out of it

I loved it and didn't see any drop in quality at all. Apparently I'm in the minority.

I think they've already confirmed the movie rumors are true. That movie is the series ending. So once you accept that's coming, it takes the pressure off this season. I enjoyed the finale of this season.

Part of it is similar to the problems later stage HOCs had. It’s really fun to watch an interesting character or cast climb a ladder. Watching them struggle at the top is not nearly as interesting

The facism storyline just seems way too big, so as you mention, they come off looking like small fish

I have one more episode left, this season has been sloooooooooow. I mean peaky has always been a little slow at times but has always made up for it with a big payoff but this season has absolutely put viewers to sleep
