Like I said, I wanted the adventures afterwards, not way down the road. And honestly, it's pretty damn hard to continue their stories beyond the OT, because everything in their entire lives led up to those moments.

I think maybe an outside threat, instead of the Stormtroopers and Tie Fighter guys, could have been a better move. Leia's Republic is threatened, Han is too old to go shoot it out anymore, and it's on Luke to ready the Jedi to defend things. Treat these old folks like royalty, instead of scrounging around. Leave them on Coruscant, as the Republic is whittled down around them.
