Im not saying the entire show should be about Trump. But a segment or two isn't a terrible thing.

His show is best when he doesn't focus on the usual suspects and delves more on the underbelly of corruption, whether it be government or private.

I want him to avoid Trump as much as possible. I think Oliver also knows his show is at its best when they avoid things that everyone is talking about. I know he won't be able to do that every week due to how wild and unpredictable Trump is, but I'd rather him focus on things that are barely reported on.

I agree, but isn't this his first episode back since Trump was sworn in? I have no problem with him going after some of the shite Trump spews in his first episode with the understanding that he will move on to other topics next week.

The best was when he made the bet to drink a bud light lime and had to do it

Yeah, it was the very next day after that piece aired that Sepp Blatter decided to step down. That was definitely something he wasn't expecting.

I wouldn't mind if his "And Now This" segment was just dedicated to stupid shite Trump did/said the previous week and have the meat of the episode be his usual stuff.

I mean it's inevitable that Trump is going to do and say stupid shite (whether or not it gets us all killed is the question). For his own sanity, he may want to focus on other topics

Also, his piece on Trump v. Truth was about as well done as it could be without it being blatantly anti-Trump.

Um, no. He and his legion of imps are dangerous people and it needs to be talked about to keep this shite from being normalized. His supporters' delicate sensibilities be damned.

Agreed. This isn't any Republican. This is a dumb, delusional assclown who takes Alex Jones seriously. He has to be fought until he changes significantly or is gone.

I don't know, he could just as well do an entire episode on Alabama politics as well

Not sure why you were downvoted here. Alabama politics is an absolute shite show right now. That Governor Bentley is a complete buffoon.

I have a friend who is now convinced all major news outlets are pushing fake news and actually believes Infowars to be "the most credible news source out there." He actually said these things. When I pointed out numerous insane things the man had said, he said "the media" posts individual quotes without any context.

Yes, we need context behind Sandy Hook was staged by actors. Just really stupid people out there that are eating up this ridiculous shite.

I wouldn't really give a shite if he hadn't spent his entire last season trying to destroy Trump week after week. He almost never focused on any Hillary Clinton scandal and when he did just downplayed and dismissed them. His bias is just as bad as the rest of them.

I have a friend who says the exact same shite. It's pretty awful.

I've known this guy for many years. I wouldn't say we are close, but we run in the same circle.
