Michael Keaton was a good Batman, but after watching the movie again recently, the movie is shite.

The recent batmans probably had an effect on your opinion. Given today's technology Keaton would've been a no-brainer.

If you want your Batman with a little humor, you love Keaton. If you want him dark, and badass in a fight, you're goin Bale.

I love em both, but I want the Batman in Bale's take.

It's not Keaton. He was fine. It was the movie itself. It doesn't hold up at all. It's very much a Tim Burton movie, and not in a good way.

" I suppose you’re only familiar with the new Batman movies. Michelle Pfeiffer? Ha! The only true Catwoman is Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, or Eartha Kitt. And I didn’t need molded plastic to improve my physique. Pure. West. And why doesn’t Batman dance anymore? Remember the Batusi?"

I really love how he and Kevin Smith once got in a feud, and Burton claims that he would never read a comic book if his life depended on it. Smith's classic comeback was, "Well, I guess that explains Batman."

1(a) Bale
1(b) Keaton
2 Kilmer --- he was absolutely brutalized by a shitty script and director
3 West

Plus, the purported amazing acting job by Jack Nicholson is just Jack Nicholson wearing makeup and laughing between lines. You could close your eyes, and if you weren't familiar with the dialogue, you couldn't tell how it was any different from his other roles.

I could get behind that. However, the Nolan v Burton dynamic is an awfully big "what if". He and Bale were obviously the two best to me

Agree completely with Nicholson as the Joker.

Ledger destroyed it.
