Keaton is physically underwhelming but has actual presence as Batman. Bale is a good Bruce Wayne but an abysmal Batman.

Without question.

Live Action, I'd say Keaton is the better Batman, but Bale is the better Bruce Wayne.

As far as live-action Batmans, I think I approve of Keaton's twisted sense of humor than I do Christian Bales's constipated earnestness.

Bale /Kilmer. Bale did a great job. And they are very different. Bale as in the dark Nolan universe and Kilmer more of a comic one. But they are tied for number one for different reasons. Both have flaws but played the character very well.
I actually really liked Kilmer's portrayal. And I liked Batman Forever. Carry was a great Riddler and I know this board seems to hate Jones's two face, but it fit the movie and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe that's just the nostalgic kid in me. The movie did come out when I was 7.

Keaton
West

Anyone else

George Clooney

Christian Bale. Simply because he is the only one of the actors who have played him in a live action film who can actually physically pass off as Batman (with the possible exception of Val Kilmer). Michael Keaton and George Clooney were both too small for the role IMO.

But seriously, I actually liked Kilmer.

Kilmer had a shite script, but gave a good, understated performance.

Keaton always seemed like a shitty Bruce Wayne to me.

Solid Batman though. His mannerisms in the suit were awesome.

Kilmer's last good performance after Top Gun was Tombstone.
