Before he got into surfing, and dropped acid, he was good at baseball and air hockey!

The 60’s surfer movies usually had an idiot character who may or may not have had some drug induced brain damage.

I laugh when people get this bent out of shape over a movie character.

All they need to do is one of 2 things.

Repeat "It's only a movie and it's not real".

Or, "That's a hell of an actor to make me so triggered by what they are doing".

Spicoli spent his reward money for saving that girl to get Van Halen to play his birthday party. Not detestable. He is okay in my book

Yep. Doby Gillis was about as squeaky clean WASP as you could get in a show during that time frame.

Bob Denver made a good living playing off-beat kooky characters on TV, even appearing in one episode of "The Andy Griffith Show" playing Charlene Darling's husband wanting to fight Andy over her.

Some of you probably never saw it because you were just liquid protein at the time but believe it or not, old ornery Sam Elliott of The Ranch was a beach boy lifeguard.

Great movie and yes, the movie has been remastered and doesn't not look like this trailer.
