Melora Hardin (The Office) in The Rocketeer. She was extremely easy to overlook, since Jennifer Connely's beauty stole the male focus of the entire film.

I know it's not a movie... so apologies for derailing a bit... but Christina Hendricks in her two episodes of Firefly. (Don't know how she would have fit in the story, but I would have loved to see her character in Serenity).
