I really enjoy those who disagree with me and can defend their arguments in a logical way. It just gives me a new way of looking at a movie, particularly when that person subscribes to a different aesthetic as me.
That's what I like about it. And what I like about this board is that there are a good bit of people here that actually explain their opinions on something. It isn't simply "I don't like ___ movie because it sucks." Or "____ was awesome." Someone nailed it earlier with the hyperbole statements...there are people here who are good at explaining why they like/dislike things.
I'll never agree with Freaux on Lost, but liked hearing his points. Same with OML and Cars. Or with that one group about what is and isn't a spoiler.
Also, positive note: today has been one of the busier days on the M/TV board in a long time. I've barely had to click on other boards today.

Yep. That's the nature of this board and very rarely will you see anybody try to troll this board. I haven't seen anybody try to troll this board in a while. However if you post spoilers on here, prepare your anus. I'm confident you nuke those evil people whenever they do it.

The thing I like about this place is that I fricking love movies and TV. Always have. Movies are kinda my addiction. So it's cool to not only have a place to talk about all that shite (where opinions are more or less respected), but where I can also get some perspective on things too. There have been lots of times where I've checked out different movies (or bought them) that I had never heard of before on recommendation of this board.
Same with TV shows. I would've never watched The Wire as soon as I did without seeing all the praise on here. And I'm forever glad that I did, because it's fantastic.
