Agreed.

Sucks.

Boondock Saints is some of the worst shite I've ever seen.
Idk if I'd go that far, but it's nowhere near a great movie like some would claim.

I like PTA but he is somewhat overhyped. Punch-Drunk I agree is greatness. Hard Eight/Sydney is underrated, the others are good but nothing special to me and There Will Be Blood was a letdown.

Also, the best Happy Madison movie is Grandma's Boy. Not Billy Madison, not Waterboy, not Happy Gilmore, its Grandma's Boy and its not close.

I have to agree with Scarface.
The love for Gangs of New York is a bit silly, imo. It suffered terribly from bad editing and overt symbolism that detracted from an otherwise fine film.
I was also pretty underwhelmed by Avatar. I saw it in theaters in 3D and was blown away by the effects, but there was nothing spectacular about the story or characters.
My 2 cents.

I'm surprised, but weirdly not at the same time.

It was like they reduced the whole story into Ford shooting James due to his unrequited homo lust.
Made Brokeback seem like straight movie.

The Godfather Trilogy - I have stated my case many times
Raging Bull - It's ok, not all that great
Saving Private Ryan - Pretty much the most over-hyped film on here. IN GENERAL. Outside of the Normandy scene, there are at least 20-25 better war movies.
Sopranos (TV) - I found this show dull, with 99% unlikable characters
Field of Dreams - Eh, Tin Cup is better
And of course:
Caddyshack - Only because Caddyshack 2 is better

I like Fargo but I'd rank it somewhere in the middle of the Coen Bros films. Good but not great. A Simple Plan I found to be a better snow driven thriller.

Altman is hit or miss for me.
The Player is great but so is The Long Goodbye(one of my favorite 70s movies)
I like McCabe & Mrs. Miller, Thieves Like Us, California Split & Popeye.
Didn't really care for Nashville, Vincent & Theo, Short Cuts, Kansas City or A Prairie Home Companion.
Most of his others I haven't seen.

Boondocks Saints is the right answer. I FINALLY got around to watching it last year...I couldn't even get through it.

Apparently you don't get the sarcasm.
Caddyshack 2 is the greatest movie ever. Fact.

quote:Not that it's a masterpiece or anything, but didn't like any of them. Also don't like those movie biopics of historical figures (i.e. Malcolm X, Gandhi, Queen Elizabeth).
Harry Potter
Burn After Reading, Michael Clayton, and Punch Drunk Love are critically acclaimed films I dislike so strongly to the point I don't understand their appeal.
