"It's a Good Life" with Bill Mumy as the omnipotent, tyrannical kid. That would be a truly horrifying situation to be in - being at the mercy of an immature mind with limitless power to satisfy his every whim.

It's a Good Life

My favorite episode, I think, is "Nick of Time" with William Shatner where a young couple goes into a café and there's the fortune-telling devices with the Devil heads on each table.

Maybe not the creepiest but The Howling Man is probably my favorite episode.

I love The Howling Man. Most of my favorites aren't necessarily the creepiest.

The Howling Man has a great, simple premise of psychological warfare.

One day I need to do a run through of all of the episodes. I just looked at the wiki for the hour long episodes and I don't remember seeing many of them. I'm sure I missed some of the half hour episodes too.

It's from Night Gallery and the one where the guy flushes a spider down the sink and it comes back bigger. He keeps killing it and it keeps getting bigger until it's as big as a dog and kills him

I remember that episode as being particularly chilling as the guy had a deathly fear of spiders and a woman neighbor of his ends up locking him in the room with the giant spider. His pitiful screams for her to let him out go unheeded and the spider jumps on and kills him. Patrick O'Neal played the guy.

To Serve Man was an odd, yet great episode.

The alien in that episode was actor Richard Kiel. Also known as Jaws from the James Bond (Roger Moore) movies, was in the original Longest Yard (he broke my nose!!), and everyones favorite giant in Happy Gilmore.

Wasn't there one where a guy puts some bug in his ear, and it is severely painful, and he finally gets it out, and they tell him at the end, that it had babies in his ear.

And the one about tthe guy who loves to wager, and bets his wives finger for a vehicle????

Been so long, and i get some of the night gallery episodes mixed up with Tzone.

That was a Night Gallery episode. The earwig entered his ear and through his brain, causing him to nearly go insane from the pain, and layed eggs as it went.

Nightmare at 20,000 Feet is the one where William Shatner sees the gremlin out on the wing of the plane he is flying in. The gremlin is ripping stuff out of one of the engines. Only Shatner can see it; he finally freaks out and gets a gun. Mayhem ensues.

Lithgow was really good in the movie version that episode. He plays a crazed man so well.

Night Gallery Episode - Pamela's Voice

Gomez Adams is married to a nagging bitchy wife played by Phyllis Diller. She dies and bitches at him from beyond the grave.

Phyllis Diller's voice makes it terrifying.

One of the episodes that freaked me out the most was a Hitchcock Presents episode.

Guy gets in wreck. Is pronounced dead at the scene but he isn't. Essentially the whole episode is the paralyzed guy on the autopsy table with the guy getting ready for the autopsy. In the end, they realize he isn't alive. That one had me on the edge of my seat with horror the whole time.

The Invaders
The one where the little aliens chase the old woman around the cabin zapping her with electricity and stabbing her with knives.
