i would definitely put it in the top 10. ahead of the office by a mile. for reasons that i shouldnt have to explain

i feel like the show gets overlooked a lot. but chris pratts recent tweet summed up the show pretty well LINK

It can't even touch the Office in it's prime.

The one thing it did do better is not go on too long.

My main issue with Parks is Leslie turned into a huge busy body and I don't know how I'm supposed to root for that.

But to me the other characters make the show.

That's the weird thing. I think the show could have went on just fine without Leslie. The Office had a hard time finding it's legs after Michael left, and I'm not sure they ever really did.

Unfortunately I’ve never seen The Office.

In terms of comedy shows, it would be in my top ten easily. Maybe top five.

Wouldn’t make the top ten all time for me though.

i wanted to hate ur post but i'm glad i kept reading it because it does make a lot of good points.

i think i just grew to love the side characters too much to focus on leslies flaws. she is absolutely the garry of the show.

It's a top 5 all time show for me and the #2 comedy behind The Office.

Even though both are classified as comedies, Parks felt more like entertainment, something just fun to watch.

The Office actually felt like a comedy with laugh out loud parts.

Thread title confused me. Why would we care that MTV ranked television shows, and why don't you just look at the list for yourself to see where Parks and Rec ranked?

My #1 sitcom this century.

To me, Leslie was never the main focus. The rest of the cast is what makes the show. Plus, it has some of the GOAT reoccurring characters.

I can’t put it above the office just because of Michael. It fit my humor more. Now if you said which show would you rather watch without Michael or Lesli..I’d take parks and rec all day. The parks supporting cast is top.

Last couple of seasons were a little too shmaltzy, and I was really disappointed with the finale.

Seasons 2-4 are absolutely top notch. I liked that they didn't play the will they/won't they card with Leslie and Ben and they didn't overuse any of their recurring characters (Jean-Ralphio, Tammy II, Jen Barkley, etc). "The Fight" is one of my undisputed top 5 favorite sitcom episodes.

I watched the Office when it originally aired. It was great at first but got old to me very quickly. I didn't watch for a while and then would occasionally catch an episode.

I never got tired of PnR. And like said above, the side and recurring characters in the series are the best.

It’s my second favorite comedy behind the office. Leslie is annoying as shite at times though. She was probably my least favorite main character on there
