Which audio version did you listen to, Andy Serkis recently re did them as the narrator and did a great job. Better than the original in my opinion. Serkis is a very talented dude.

There were no barrels in the book. Spielberg used them because he couldn't get the fake shark to work.

Forrest Gump. Not the lovable dummy Hanks played.

IIRC the book is very different than the movie, but it's excellent.

A great McCarthy book, a flawless movie.

Sideways the book is good.

Sideways the movie is amazing. In my top 5 all-time.

you think the love triangle between Hooper and Mrs Brody made the book better than the movie?

Oddly, William Goldman wrote both.

Series so not a movie, but The Last Kingdom seasons 1 is definitely better than the first 2 books.

This makes me think you never read the books. Uhtred is an all time book character. Equal parts intimidating, benevolent and hilarious.

The show character did not come close to matching the book.

The casting of Uhtred was atrocious. Which is a shame bc every other character esp Alfred was casted fine.

I came on here to say this. The book was not memorable...the movie is a freaking classic.
